An extensive £20m renovation and expansion programme, completed in April 2009, has given the George stylish and contemporary interiors whilst respecting the listed Georgian architecture.
 
Conference and event space is now more flexible than ever, with a choice of eight event spaces, ranging from luxurious boardrooms to the magnificent Kings Hall with unique “Flight Light” chandelier. A recent addition to the meeting and event space is the spectacular Panorama Suite on the top floor of the hotel, ideal for boardroom meetings and private dining for up to 16 and cocktail parties for up to 50 guests. The Panorama boasts stunning views over Edinburgh along with a spacious outside terrace.

The George has recently added 50 luxurious new bedrooms bringing the total to 249, all refurbished recently offering guests a stylish and sophisticated retreat from hectic schedules. WI-FI and broadband are available throughout the George.

Tempus bar and restaurant at the George is now firmly established as one of the best venues on George Street, one of “the” places to be seen, offering contemporary surroundings and the best of local produce.
