The Scotch Whisky Experience is one of Scotland’s top, multi-award-winning visitor attractions. Located at the top of Edinburgh’s famous Royal Mile, next to Edinburgh Castle, The Scotch Whisky Experience is a sensational journey through a replica distillery and is home to the World’s Largest Collection of Scotch Whisky. Considered one of the seven wonders of the Scotch whisky world, the glass vaults boast over 3,300 bottles of Scotch whisky, all unopened and collected over 35 years.
Our expert guides take visitors on a journey of discovery as they delve into the history and alchemy of blending the perfect Scotch whisky; exploring Scotland’s five whisky producing regions and learning how geography and weather combine to create regional characteristics, aromas and flavours; before a nosing and tasting of their chosen dram.
There is a wide variety of exclusive tours and interactive hands-on experiences, from the Silver Whisky Tour, (the perfect introduction to the world of whisky - ideal for families and first timers) and Gold Whisky Tour (which includes all the elements of the Silver Whisky Tour, plus a tasting tray of an additional four single malt Scotch whiskies, to be enjoyed at your leisure in the relaxing surrounds of the McIntyre Gallery Bar), to the Morning Masterclass (Perfect for the true whisky enthusiast); Blend Your Own Whisky and Taste of Scotland Tour (a Scottish blend of whisky and award-winning cuisine).
The experience can be enjoyed by everyone with 20 languages available including British and American sign language and is fully accessible.
