Voted Scotland's most sustainable building in 2011, The John Hope Gateway overlooks the biodiversity garden and beautifully managed landscapes close to the Garden's west gate. The light and fresh160 seat restaurant building opens onto a wide decked area making it the perfect space for summer BBQ's, corporate events and gala dinners.
The David Douglas Room is a bright, modern and sympathetic to its natural surroundings, a truly unique smaller meeting room or private dining space.
The Caledonian Hall, built originally as the Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society's herbarium, a charming old building with a sophisticated but relaxed air is perfect for hosting events and meetings. With access to an outdoor patio area and the year round pavilion you can make the most of being at the Botanics with views over the rock garden and waterfall. The pavilion can be used as a breakout room or additional reception space.
The Terrace Café has recently undergone a major refurbishment and is now available for evening hire for more informal events for up to 80 people. With access to outdoor space the real highlight of this space is the views over the iconic Edinburgh skyline taking in the Castle and Arthur's Seat.
For conference and meetings we can now offer for the first time our state of the art tiered lecture theatre with capacity for up to 200 people. The auditorium sits in a quiet area of the Gardens and is ideal for meetings and conference with exhibition or catering space in the adjacent room.
