Stramash

Established in 2015, Stramash has quickly evolved into one of Edinburgh’s leading venues. Set in the heart of the city’s Old Town, Stramash was once an 18th century Free Church. With three independent bars, a unique mezzanine level, Edinburgh’s largest HD screen, a capacity of 850, a vast stage and a fully capable kitchen– the sheer scale of the building is impressive.

With walls of old railway sleepers, naturally distressed and stained with age, colourful stained glass windows and beautifully battered old whisky barrels to set your dram on, Stramash has all the charm and character of a traditional Scottish drinking den.

The mezzanine level can host up to 250 and boasts a balcony overlooking the main bar and stage.  It is ideally suited for private functions and corporate events. With plenty of wee nooks available for break out spaces or to book for smaller groups we can cater for whisky & beer tastings, business meetings, cocktail receptions and pretty much any kind of party you care to throw. It has its own dedicated bar carrying our full range of premium products.  Couple this with our fully equipped kitchen and we can supply you with a wide and varied menu for your event.  Anything from canapes & nibbles to vast banquets or just some traditional Scottish fayre such as haggis, neeps & tatties.
