The Edinburgh Beer Factory is a family owned microbrewery. Founded in 2015, we seek to reinvent overlooked and underestimates beer styles, like lager; re-making them in Edinburgh and challenging the stereotypes associated with them. Put simply, we make beer beautiful.
Our ethos is about celebrating the finest qualities of modern Scotland; creativity, innovation and open-mindedness. From this, we’ve named our first beer, a 5.2% Munich Helles style lager, ‘Paolozzi’, after Scots-Italian sculptor, designer, and pioneer of Pop Art, Eduardo Paolozzi.
Brewing is an art and this is our studio. Our brewery at Bankhead is a stainless steel totem to modernity. With good old-fashioned care, time and creativity thrown in, you’ve got an exciting combination. Decorated with original works by our muse, Eduardo Paolozzi, the Godfather of Pop Art, and paired with sublime views of our brewery, this space is one of a kind. If you come during the day, you might even catch our brewers in their natural habitat.
You can make your function one to remember by pairing it with a brewer-led brewery tour. Our brewery tours are for everyone. Art meets science meets business. We believe that beer, especially lager, is about more than just liquid – it’s an experience.
Not only does our venue boast views of our state-of-the-art brewery and original artwork, it also offers super speedy Wi-Fi, a projector facility, and brewery-fresh beer from our bar!
What’s more? It’s a breeze to get to. It’s situated a small walk from the Bankhead tram stop and Edinburgh Park Train station, meaning you can enjoy a tipple or two during your visit. It makes an ideal pitstop to or from Edinburgh Airport, and connects to Waverley and Haymarket train stations via a short train journey from Edinburgh Park.
