Sitting in the shadow of the Edinburgh Castle, we are located in the heart of Edinburgh City Centre close to many attractions, business facilities and the Haymarket Train Station (0.5 miles) making our beautiful venue  the ideal location for your meetings & events. 

The beautifully restored Auditorium located on the first floor at Ghillie Dhu is a breathtaking architectural setting ideally suited for a range of events, from an away day for 40 delegates to black tie dinner for 200 guests. The stunning vaulted ceiling and floor length windows of the auditorium make for a unique event space organised by a dedicated team of events coordinators to create a fully bespoke event.

PUBLIC BAR
If you are looking for an area to arrange in informal drinks, meetings or a celebration then our public bar area is the ideal space.

The raised area of our bar boasts an array of booths which can be booked for various numbers; Accommodating group dinners for 48 and features live music 7 days a week.  For more intimate semi private spaces we have two large snugs behind our main bar suitable for dining up to 12 guests or more if drinks only.   The snugs offer the perfect place to meet colleagues in an informal setting or to meet at the end of the day to discuss proceedings over dinner.

ADDED EXTRAS & VENUE HIRE
On top of our standard offering, our Coordinators can help organise additional elements for your event to help make it unforgettable. Live Ceilidh or Cover Bands, DJ’s, Piper, Hog Roast,

Carvery, Wine & Whisky Tastings, Burns Suppers, Scottish Dancers, Rugby hospitality & Cocktail masterclass.  We can also put you in touch with external suppliers to assist with decorations and more!
