The Glasshouse Hotel

The Glasshouse Hotel has become a luxurious staple for residency, standing as one of Edinburgh’s finest five star hotels. Contemporary interiors combined with history-rich architecture assures guests aunique stay.  The hotel began its journey originally as a church founded by Lady Glenorchy in 1846 and retained its iconic history.  Boasting with dynamic views of Edinburgh’s city centre from the views of our rooftop garden to providing a cosy escape with over 160 whisky’s in our Snug bar, The Glasshouse is beaming with possibilities for all tastes.

Our 77 bedrooms promise a memorable stay in the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town. Our rooms feature a private terrace only a few feet smaller than the rooms to which they are attached; or instant access to our rooftop garden to take in the breath-taking view of Calton Hill.  Indulge yourself in our five star amenities, including luxurious bedding, full air-conditioning, heated bathroom floors, flat-screen TVs, complimentary minibar and more.

With a warm and professional approach, we take pride in tailoring our event and meeting spaces to your needs. Our array of meeting spaces ensure an experience unlike any other in the city centre.  We offer three executive meeting rooms, featuring our newest conferencing space The Boardroom, housed behind the original Church Façade.  For our largest and most flexible space, visit our Calton Suite.  Situated on the hotel’s rooftop, the Calton Suite offers delegates to take full advantage of our lawn space from team building exercises, to break out areas.
