The Merchants' Hall, which can be hired exclusively, is one of Edinburgh's more discreet city centre treasures where the best of art and architecture have combined to create a building of grace and distinction.
The Hall, with its magnificent domed ceiling, provides an exceptional setting to host any event, including conferences, receptions and dinners - enhanced by the room's spacious sprung wooden floor. The Hall is ornately panelled and pillared with a charming Minstrel's Gallery.
The mahogany-panelled Court Room is an elegant area for smaller events, with portraits by Raeburn and Ramsay adjoining the rich crimson walls.
The Merchants' Hall is the headquarters of one of Edinburgh's oldest and most prestigious business organisations - The Company of Merchants of the City of Edinburgh - thus ensuring the building is well maintained and is in secure hands. Until recently it was used exclusively by The Company's Members, but now is available to be enjoyed by all on a private basis.
