Built in 1883, The Lyceum Theatre is one of Edinburgh's most iconic venues. Steeped in history the building retains much of its original architecture and is host to award winning plays and musicals, one-off gigs and events all year round. The theatre has a range of spaces including smaller meeting rooms, studio spaces, bars and a foyer to host meetings, workshops and training sessions. If you are looking for a larger space, what better way to host a Q&A, seminar, conference or live event in our 630-seater main auditorium.
Our two dedicated function spaces the Henry Irving and Ellen Terry rooms are multi-functional spaces with an adjoining to create one large area. Primarily used for board meetings, interviews, auditions and intimate drinks receptions; the rooms are in the main theatre yet private enough to ensure confidentiality.
Our Events Team can help you create bespoke events in the main auditorium from Q&A’s, book launches, to seminars and conferences.
We have three bar areas across three levels, all accessible by lift. We partner with local Edinburgh suppliers and curate wine tasting and whisky tasting events. Our bars offer a range of spirits, beers, soft drinks and snacks.
