Our specialist tastings team, which includes Keepers and Masters of The Quaich, are experts at hosting Scotch whisky tastings, at our multi-award-winning venue at the top of The Royal Mile next to Edinburgh Castle, or wherever you would like to entertain and surprise guests.

Whatever the occasion, we always work in close partnership with event organisers and venue chefs, to suggest the very best Scotch whiskies to complement each occasion and dish. Everything we do is bespoke and themed to your personal tastes.

INFORMAL WHISKY TASTING: This relaxed yet sophisticated tasting is ideal as a pre-dinner apéritif or after-dinner digestif. After an introduction and mini masterclass on the five stages of appreciating Scotch whisky, guests are free to mingle and casually move between a number of tasting areas, where they will enjoy different regional single malts.

PRIVATE TUTORED TASTING: During this sensory extravaganza, we’ll immerse you in the stories, myths, culture and romance of Scotland’s rich distilling heritage, as you sample a selection of beautifully curated malts from Scotland’s five whisky-producing regions (Lowlands, Highlands, Speyside, Campbeltown and Islay).

BLEND YOUR OWN WHISKY: Sample amazing and contrasting regional single malts, before stepping into the shoes of a Master Blender to create your very own 100ml blended masterpiece - guaranteed to be the only bottle of its kind in the world.

SUPER-PREMIUM WHISKY TASTINGS: This luxury tasting of rare and limited-edition Scotch whiskies is hosted by a Keeper or Master of the Quaich, a whisky expert of unrivalled knowledge and passion.

TASTING TALES: An inspiring whisky and food pairing which includes a tutored tasting of four specially selected Scotch whiskies, each expertly paired with a delicious bite-sized artisan canapé from Scotland’s natural larder.
